Our Ideal Target Audience

If we were to have an ideal person to watch this film we would have to analyse their...

• Occupations

Socio economic background can play a huge part in what Films people watch. For example a film with lots of youths from a lower class background, set in a low socio-economic area would be something the upper classes could not relate too.

Taste in film plays a huge role when deciding what to watch for obvious reasons. People have their own tastes and we have come to the conclusion that we cannot appeal to everybody's tastes. People who like films that make you think and guess the ending would love ours.

Originally we believed that our ideal audience would be mainly males however consulting our teacher she told us that statistics show that women tend to enjoy thrillers much more than men. However there was not a huge gap and for that reason our film would appeal to both genders.

Peoples occupations can also determine what films they like. After research and surveys. We gathered that mainly younger college/uni students would like this film. Also the main character is a Teen which tells us that the film would revolve around someone of a young age. However in this case when talking about psychological dramas, thrillers and films many middle aged people enjoy them.

Ideal Audience

Above you see a picture of the Skins cast. We believe that this would be the perfect type of audience to watch out film. This is because many references are similar. For example our characters are all Teenagers, In a fairly normal house (which reflects the socio economic backgrounds of the characters), clothing, also these characters all go to university/college.
