180 Degree Angle

When making a film we were given specific rules about how to use the camera in the most effective way. One of the most important rules was the 180 degree rule which almost every film maker uses. 




Above shows us a basic guideline of how you should film. As you can see there is a 180 degree angle. Cam A, B and C are black and Cam D is red which tells us that as Cam D goes past 180 degrees the then you are breaking the rule. This helps us to prevent disorientation for the audience. a new shot, from the opposite side is known as a reverse angle
