ORIGINAL VIDEO:
Above is the clip that we had to remake as a small project in order to get used to using cameras, and help us learn to edit our work. We tried to recreate the scene as best as possible, however without certain props and no experience with the camera we found it hard. In the end, we believe we have recreated it quite successfully, even though there are a number of differences. Firstly, after finishing our edit of the scene, and publishing it onto our blog, it was pointed out to us that one of our scenes was un-organised. We had a scene of someone walking, when it cut to someone else. When it cut back to the scene of him walking, the bag was in his hand, unlike before when it wasn't. As well as that, we decided to use a non-diegetic sound clip in our scene, whereas in the original, it was diegetic, as you could hear people talking throughout the scene. Finally, we decided to add a couple of affects to ours which weren't in the original. An example of this is the slow motion affect we used twice. It made the clip much more interesting, and when we watched the clip back, we all agreed that the affect should be kept.
All in all, we learned a lot from our remake, and although our remake can be improved, it has given us valuable experience, and has given us more ideas for our final project.
